What is the Digital Grant Clinic?

A digital grant clinic is the space you come to if you want tailored feedback from grant advisors about your funding applications for the Victorian Government’s Multicultural Communications Outreach Program (MCOP). This grant program is aimed at local organisations and individuals who want to support multicultural communities through digital and social media activities.

An experienced team of digital innovation researchers from Monash University's Action Lab will work with you in short online sessions to strengthen your grant proposal and make it more competitive. The grant clinics’ feedback will focus on different areas according to your needs, including:

  • identifying your target audience(s);

  • using appropriate digital media platforms and formats;

  • maximising community engagement and content distribution.

Book an Appointment

Before proceeding, please read the MCOP guidelines carefully. Check whether your proposal idea is suitable for the funding criteria.

The current round of grant clinics is running for two weeks in March. The available sessions are on Monday 14th & 21st 7:00-8:30 pm, Thursday 17th & 24th, 7:00-8:30 pm and Friday 18th & 25th, 1:00-2:30 pm

We offer two types of clinic sessions:

1. Open sessions: you can observe ideas and feedback received by other applicants. In exchange other applicants will also observe your clinic session. Inspiration (and opportunities for partnership) can come from hearing other people’s ideas and questions! Session length: 15-60 mins (15 mins dedicated to your proposal and up to 45 mins observation of other attendees).

2. Closed sessions: you cannot observe ideas and feedback received by other applicants. In exchange, you will receive a clinic slot where you can discuss your idea privately with a grant advisor.
Session length: 15 mins.
